  Yes, there are plenty of devices in practical use. It's one of the larger segments of the alternative health products out there. You should check out the links posted to this tribe for details. There are also details of research and results done using these devices.
  
  As for sound healing, that is a more obscure art, and there don't seem to be as many users/practitioners with sound as there are with bioelectric devices. See the links on the sound healing tribe for more.
