tesla voltage 'breakfast'

i heard in a documentary about tesla that he used to give himself a voltage breakfast- that is a sustained current flow that he said gave him much needed energy to complete some of his work.

Does anyone know more about his practice? the amperage, voltage and point of application? please send me a personal message in addition to replying in-forum
